Kingfisher Fish & Chips Opening Hours Kingfisher on the Go About our Seafood...

At Kingfisher Fish & Chips we have made a commitment to only serve responsibly sourced and sustainable fish..

When selecting our fish, we are obviously looking for the best quality available. We also look for its sustainability

As our barometer and aid, we use the Marine Conservation Society (MCS).

The MCS has detailed information at Fishonline.org This is an in depth guide to sustainable seafood.

The MCS use a rating system to identify species considered to be sustainably produced and those species that are not.

Those species considered “fish to eat” are given a ‘1’ rating ‘Green’ through to those “Fish to avoid”  a ‘5’ rating ‘Red’

In the Table Below is a list of all Kingfisher fish products and its relevant rating...

LOOKING AFTER THE FISH OF THE FUTURE

As fish lovers it is our duty to look after tomorrow’s fish, today..

  1. We source responsibly and only choose sustainable seafood.
  2. 12 of our seafood are MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) Cetified.
  3. We use the Seafish RASS (Risk Assessment for Sustainable Sourcing and MCS (Marine Conservation Data to ensure we make the right decisions for the preservation of our oceans.
