Sustainability

At Kingfisher, we have made the commitment to only use sustainable and responsibly sourced fish. Our cod and haddock are sourced from the North Atlantic, where the fishing grounds are carefully monitored and managed by scientists.

All our fish is purchased from well-managed fishing boats that follow the same values as us. We are passionate in our belief that fish stocks should be preserved, so our nation’s favourite dish can be enjoyed by future generations.

 

Environment

We care about our environment and want to make sure that, as a business, we strive to reduce our carbon footprint. 

We are committed to recycling our waste, so some of the measures include recycling our used cooking oil into bio fuel, and recycling all our food waste, which goes into an anaerobic digester at Langage Farm, producing heat and electricity for the dairy factory and the National Grid. 

Our aim is for all our packaging to be made from fully recycled materials, and be fully recyclable as soon as possible. Please help us by cleaning and responsibly recycling your fish and chips packaging.
